C-TPAT Accreditation

After September 11, 2001, several initiatives were undertaken by the American customs and its agencies to counter terrorism and reinforce border security. The C-TPAT program is an initiative of CBP (Customs and Borders Protection) that aims to develop cooperation between its members and the international business community. Ultimately, the goal is to secure the global supply chain directed toward the United States in order to support CBP's priorities: to ensure security and to increase the fluidity of import/export movements to the United States.

In exchange for a better control of our supply chain, the CBP is commited to reducing controls of imported goods in the ports and of goods transported through customs. This certification will allow us to reduce border times in the case of transportation by land.

Perfecta is C-TPAT certified since July 2004. We are currently completing the recommended modifications and enhancing our security procedures. All these efforts will reinforce our relations with the US customs service.
